On 20th-24th May Egyptian Polish Businessmen Association organized its annual trade mission to Poland aiming at fostering business cooperation between Egypt and Poland. Representatives of thirteen Egyptian companies visited Poland to take part in business to business meetings with Polish counterparts willing to invest in the Egyptian market.
Meetings organized in cooperation with Polish Chamber of Commerce headed by Dr. Andrzej Arendarski, uniting over 400 Polish companies, brought a large number of companies representing different sectors and branches which opened discussion for expanding future cooperation between two countries.
Ms. Agata Wilinska, representative Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (Polish Economics Bank) presented the offer of financial government support for exporters, including Egypt as one of the support receiver. The bank offers loans for foreign importers purchasing Polish goods by paying for the delivery and later on, the importer is paying the sum back to the bank. Total volume of available preferential loans in BGK amounts to 1.4 bln EUR.
Dr Ihab Tahoun Minister Plenipotentiary of the Egyptian Commercial Office expressed his expectations that Egyptian exports by the end of this year will reach about $ 200 million and that the current Action Plan focuses on achieving mutual benefit to both parties.
During meeting at premises of Employers of Poland, headed by Mr. Andrzej Malinowski ,speeches delivered by Mr. Medhat El Kaissy and Mr. Janusz Pietkiewicz, vice president of Employers of Poland highlighted the need of stronger mutual cooperation to increase growing already volume of trade balance between the countries.
Constant information exchange between EPBA and the Employers of Poland as well as Polish Chamber of Commerce and Polish Business Centre Club will focus on market research aimed at finding and creating business opportunities for both sides promised EPBA at meetings conducted in Warsaw.
